It’s impossible that I have not gained a single kilogram. *burb* I’ve been eating like a pig since my grandmother have been living with my family. Today is yet another day where good delicious food kept appearing in my sight radius and into my tummy.
I woke up early today. My parents were still out shopping for groceries, vegetables and meat in the morning market. I ate a bowl of cereals cos I was feeling hungry already. When my parents came back, they bought breakfast, some ‘kuih’ (Malay cakes) and ‘ah pom’. I ate again.
For lunch, …I could hardly touch the meat + fish + pork ball ‘lo chi fun’ (a type of noodles shaped like rat’s tail) that my mom cooked. But knowing the glutton and greedy me, I managed to chomp down the whole bowl.
I help my mom and my grandmother’s maid make ‘dodol’ (a Malay sweet desert) after lunch! The process of making the dodol really takes up a lot of time and energy. When making the dodol, the cook has to stir the stick flour in low fire. My mom, my grandmother’s maid and I took turns to stir it. Tiring I tell you, …..we stirred until one of the cooking utensils bent, and the utensil was metal! Yikes! Anyways, it took 3 of us 5 hours to finish cooking and packing the dodol. 118 cute little 3 inches long sausage looking dodols. Hehehe. I’ll post up some pics of the dodol’s when I get my cam back from crabman.
After licking the dodol bowl clean, it’s time for dinner already. My mom cooked a Hakka dish called ‘Lui Char’. I have mentioned this dish on my blog a few times already…I just love this dish! Lui Char is actually a type of tea. The usual dish consists of 8 different types of green and non-green vegetables (my mom cooked 11 different types!) mixed into a bowl of rice, served with a green soup/tea to be mixed into the bowl of rice when eaten. *burb* I ate two big bowls. Even my parents were shocked to see me eat so much. For the first time, (well maybe not first time la…but..) my dad said “Don’t over eat!”
I’m stuffeddddd. Umhpffffffff…I’m regretting it now…my stomach is going to explode…
