Stay calm
Cheh... The Petroleum Club located in the twin towers is over rated la. Like the Royal Selangor Club.
We went for a tour of the club before dinner. The interior deco was with a lot of wood and English deco. The restrooms were like hotel rooms, there was a lazy man sofa bench in there. HAHAHA you can now sleep in the "restrooms". The nicest part I found in the club (on the 42th floor) was a "The Beauty and The Beast" style stair way. The only thing missing was the view. The whole section of the club overlooked the city, not the park. The view in the day is nothing really to awe about but the view was better come night when the street and building lights were all lit up. Looking down from the 42th floor of the twin towers made my office building looks to tiny.
Anyway, dinner was served on the 43rd floor in the Petroleum Club's Chinese restaurant. There's no open dining place but just all private rooms. The food was above average but service was questionable.
Meeting with some of the managers was ok. Ate with the HR manager and overall ok la. I think lunch with the AP IT HR was more interesting. Very interesting unbelievable stories! But the company's profit is even higher that the GDP of some developing countries... maybe not so unbelievable after all.
"Planning for God's visit"... LOL!
The orientation is getting dreadful day by day. Thank god tomorrow is the final day. I'm really getting sleepy with all the talks and really uncomfortable with the food. One more day tomorrow, one more lunch on Friday, and another dinner on Monday.
Going to die already.
And that reminds me, I have a training to attend next week, and another orientation to attend after the week after that! I really don't like attending all those stuff. I want the facts, but I so bored with attending all the talks already. Why can't the company save money and just have a short 2 hour session everyday for briefings and talks?
I will rise from death and die again.
And on-call. Still worried about that la. Sure going to be panic on my first on-call. But like that the slides says... "Stay calm"
