I got a call from 103jobs.com again today. Sylvia from the agency told me I'm being short listed for a second interview with Telekom. *surprised!* I'm happy that I got short listed, but on the other hand very confused about the whole thing. Sylvia also told me that the candidates that got short listed will most probably be hired. The second interview was just to talk conditions and contract information. But the thing is, I don't know if I want the job. Sylvia also told me I was the youngest candidate that went for the first interview and actually through the short listing. Is being young (and inexperience) a pro or con in my case?
Being a Sales(IT) Executive is not one of my top jobs in mind. I have to be running/driving around looking for customers. My mom asked me "Are you sure you can handle the running around? You are a freshie with no experience after all? Are you sure you can handle that kind of environment?" Mom, it's not the environment that I'm afraid of, it's the whole job and time thing. I'm afraid that I'll get a better offer after I have accepted this job, a job offer that I will definitely like compared to a sales IT executive. But then what if I don't get any better offer? Or will I want to be in this Sales IT line for long? Will I be wasting my time in something I know I won't be in for long? If you say no time is wasted because experience is gained, well that one definitely la, but ah.... aie, I don't know man. I'm being indecisive again.
Anyhow, I'll be in Menara Telekom again tomorrow to go ahead with my second interview. To sign or not to sign the contract is still up to me. I will just have to see what goes in the contract now. Can I terminate my contract without much hassle? How long will my probational period be? How much will I be given for my mileage claim? Have to find out so much more...hais.
