YWen got baptise today at DUMC today. Congratulations!

I went to pick JK up and then headed to meet YWen at the entrance of DUMC at 11 this morning. The church service started when we got in. DUMC is actually very organised. There were traffic marshals guiding all the cars to their parking places and there were ushers guiding people to available seats.

When we got in, the service already started. We sung a few songs and listened to one guy's testimonial on how his lived changed when he devoted himself to god. After that it was time for the baptism. All 36 person that was suppose to be baptised were called on stage for some prayers and stuff and then one by one they were officially baptised by the pastor.

When it was YWen's turn, there was a short pause because YWen's name was mixed up with another girl’s name. YWen got the loudest cheers and claps when she got baptised. Some of her church friends made her score card that rates 10. When she got up from the dip, they held up the score cards. LOL!

YWen changed in to drier clothes and then joined the rest of us for the continuation of the church service. Me and JK stayed for the rest of the service too. At the closing of the service, the pastor ask for people (so that everyone can pray for them) to come up front. Quite a number for people went, some were man of forties and fifties.

When the prayer started, I don't know why my eye's started watering. I felt a sudden urge to cry. I wasn't feeling sad or anything, the feeling was... I don't know... It's not weird, but it's like feeling the aura of the people standing in front of me, their problems, their prayers, and wanting to cry for them.

I don't if it was me being sensitive, but I definitely have not felt that way before. People say that one would feel sadness and start crying when he/she sees another person cry, but the thing is, non of them were crying when my eyes started tearing. I stopped looking at prayer crowd when I saw some men and women who people were praying for cry. I think I would have cried too if I looked. One guy was still crying when me and JK left the church.

Me and JK had a little chat in the car about the incident. He felt the same way.
