This is going to be a really quick one before I leave for work.

Getting really busy. I was sick so I didn’t go to work on Tuesday… That left me a file of reports to review when I got back. My team lead dragged me in for the second emergency meeting this week. I was given more work, more than I could ever handle. My load is about 160% now. It’s crazy! I hope the two new girls catch up quick so I can hand them back some of their work I’m doing.

Work submission to boss tomorrow. Got to rush people’s work for submission….. ARGHHHH. This is dragging my own work down too. Sucks.

Company dinner tomorrow. I was supposed to help my department with performance. Got to act out a dance scene from ‘13 going on 30’. Michael Jackson, thriller. But I think I have to FFK with the amount of work I have. Shit, I hope I don’t get killed for that!

I have no time to think of what I want to wear to the dinner yet too. … My sis is helping me with my ‘costume’. Theme is Oscars. Backup plan. Wear shorts and a pok-ka-dot shirt and pin a ‘kick me’ sign at the back of my shirt. Get my glasses out and go as a geek. How unoriginal.

Ex-team lead came back to sign of some documents. He dropped by my desk and wrote a contact number on a piece of paper and said “Call this number; she can give you what you want. You can use my name”. AHhhhhhhhhhhhh opportunity!

Oh and I think I failed to mention why all this work and chaos seems to be attracted to me. As of Dec 1, my supervisor appointed me as assistant team leader for North America and South America. That’s good news to me, but … somehow it brings more cons than pros to my mind at the moment.
