Day trip to Singapore reviewed
Life at work have been hectic lately. The problem with technology that it can't fix itself. So... that's where I step in. This is only the ending of the fifth week, but I fell I have been here for 3 months. Have been learning a lot... but I don't think I'm learning fast enough. *sign* Long story... but lets put that aside.
The day trip to Singapore was tiring. It was fun, but I would not want to do this again.
The MAS airplane I flew on. It's a small plane but the flight was comfortable. Smooth take off and landing. The SIA plane I took from Changi Airport to KLIA was much larger, hence bigger inertia. The landing was scary. Then again, I'm not sure if it's the plane, or the pilot. I didn't remember the landing was this scary on other flights on larger planes.
I didn't have much time to hang out in Singapore. I went straight to the Singapore office right after I landed. I didn't manage to finish work early so it was right to the airport after work too =(
But Changi airport is not that boring. I had 45 minutes to kill in the airport so I did a tour of the airport as suggested by a cab driver.
This is the movie viewing area in Changi airport. Nice cosy place.
Changi airport is geek friendly. Free internet access and there are empty cubicles with LAN ports for laptop users to plug in. The PC usage is limited to 15 minutes a person though. There's a annoying Java app running at the background that makes sure everything gets reset after 15 minutes or usage.
Ahhhhhh it's even gamer friendly.
World Cup season so I think this movie viewing area turned into a football match viewing section.
Ahhhhh this is smack right in the middle of the terminal. Nice!
I wanted to toss a coin into the pond and make a wish.... but I didn't have any coins with me.
The cab driver told me there was a place I could get foot massages too... but I ran out of time. Boarded and slept in the plane although it was only for an hour.
Whole trip took 4.30am to 11.15pm. That's almost 19 whole hours. No more day trip for me.

I feel ashamed to be a Singaporean. I didn't even know that so many changes have been made to our airport! The newly added facilities..and the pond! Especially the pond. It looks beautiful.
gena: ahh it's not like you eat live sleep in the airport right? :)
