Frog story

Echo("

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants. The race began.

Honestly, no one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!! They will NEVER make it to the top." or "Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing, one by one. Except for those who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher. The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult! No one will make it!" More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.

But ONE continued higher and higher. This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! Then all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal. It turned out that the winner was DEAF!

The wisdom of this story is:

Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you - the ones you have in your heart! Always think of the power words have. Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

Therefore, ALWAYS be POSITIVE!

And above all: Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!Always think: I can do this! To the world you might be one person; but to one person you might be the world.

");

You know, it's true.

Sometimes when I have the "umph" to do something big, people tend to say "Dream on". But you see, when you strive for it, you can make it. I have not always proven these people wrong, but every time I do, I know was right that I can do it.

It's disappointing to sometimes have discouraging words from family and friends, they can really bring down your self-esteem, but, you will have to learn to ignore some of this. Ignorance is bliss. Or just be stubborn like me :P Take in words as advice, not commands.

I always have this thinking, that I have to try something out no matter what good or bad feedback I get. If the feedback is true, well at least I have verified it myself. People say ("See I told you so"); Yeah, thanks for the info but I have to experience things for myself. But then what if people are wrong? You will be the one who changes people's mind right?

I know I'm a evil person by saying this but... it sometimes it feels good to see the people that go on and on and on on the negative comments "shut up" when I prove them wrong. It's like ("HAHA in your face!") :P It's my ego, but it was their ego pushing mine. Sad to say, but sometimes these people are the ones who keeps me striving for my goal. The more they step on me, the more they look down on me, the more they irritate me, the more I want their respect, the more I want them to "shut up".

There are and will come many times when I was wrong, well, don't lie to yourself when you are wrong. Accept and learn from it and quote ("Always be positive"); It's not easy to always be positive though. I know many who give up too easily. You have to be discipline being positive.

Everything is easier said than done. But it's never too late to start believing in yourself.

I agree, I'm doing it right now. Even if I fail, I try to be positive.
It's really hard, even if people tell me negative things, I keep on my way.

I'm learning to ignore what some people says, it's quite a training.
And I fail a lot, so it's a constant effort to keep my mind positive.

Keep on doing it, things will go better, for sure ;)

Bernat: Glad to here that =) Can be really taxing for the mind to constantly keep ourselves positive especilly with all the negative comments. Sometimes they get to me, but like you said Keep on doing it, things will go better.
