Healthy beautiful skin or Money

Can you imagine drinking only organic mix beverage for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a whole week? I think I'm doing that really soon. *sobb sobb*

My skin has been really bad during college days due to college stress and lack of sleep. My hormone imbalance wasn't helping either. My pimples would breakout like the blossom of morning glories. It's no different now when I'm working.

I can't say that I have stress at work. I don't feel pressured at work at all actually. It's just that when I have a lot of work, I have to stay back and make sure I finish it before the deadline. I hate to ask for an extension because I'm afraid I'll be branded 'inefficient'.

There's work to be done when I get home too. Sometimes I spend so much time doing house work, when its time to finish my own work, it's time to sleep. We cannot change the fact that we only have 24 hours in a day, but we all can do is manage the 24 hours. I'm kind of bad at time management, so when I fail to manage it properly, I usually push back and sacrifice my sleeping time. Lack of sleep really kills the skin.

I sometimes have this 'tidak apa' (I don't care) attitude about my physical appearance actually. But I think it's time for me to change. I got a major lecture today by one of my mom's colleague’s sister today. She's really pretty and has really nice skin. Meet her boyfriend too and he too has really healthy looking skin! She was over to sell some health products but she also kind of told me all the things I should be doing to save my skin. She was shocked when I told her my routine cleansing, lifestyle and eating habits. ....and for the first time in my life I felt embarrassed *shy shy*

I kind of agree with her actually. I don’t taking care of my skin at all. I really don't drink enough water. I love oily, junk and unhealthy food that kills the skin. I felt really bad when she gave me the *UHHHHHHHH OMG!* look with her big big bush baby eyes staring at me. I don’t know la, I don't really care sometimes. But I guess it's time to give my skin some attention.

So, I might be 'investing' in some products so help improve my skin internally and externally, or as she would say "internal health and external health". She advice me to take this organic drink thingy. I didn’t think it was that difficult at first, but nooooo. She told me I have to go on a fasting period, and to take that drink for meals! No other food allowed except for vegetables and fruits *WHAHAHAHAHAHAH joke of the year man* But no, she wasn't joking. The first thing that came to my mind was *OMG I'm already skinny enough, I can't be going diets like that! I'll be seriously blown away*.

But if I'm seriously going to take this drink thingy. I'll have to follow the 'fasting' strictly. The drink is supposing going to help cleanse my body system if it's toxins. Less toxins means better skin. I'm having doubts about it though. I don't think I'll have enough discipline to stick to this kind of diet. You know la, I'm a really 'wai sek' (glutton) person. The amount of food on my office cubicle won’t be helping me on this either. She told be I could start the drink diet slowly. Like only going on the drink diet for a day in a week, then try the diet for 2 days the following week, and then 3 days the next week.

She also recommended me a skin care range. Her boyfriend is currently using it, and I really can say I think it works for her boyfriend because WOW, both of them really have good skin. I don't know if the products will work for me though. The last time I tried a direct sale skin care product from Omega Trend Landen Brook that my mom bought for me, I had a serious skin break out! I was allergic to it. Anyway, she gave me a demo. And if I don't get any major breakouts in 2 to 3 days, it's save for my use.

One thing that caught my attention was the gentle exfoliate, it's kind of a scrub thing. She said for serious condition skin like mine, I should use it for 3 times a day. *HAR! scrub woor! Kill the skin weiiii* Then she explained again, it's a gentle scrub. And their scrub is rounded scrub so it won't hurt the skin. The more you scrub, the scrub will actually melt and be absorbed by the skin. Kind of like absorbing the nutrients or something like that I guess. I was hesitative about the scrub at first, but after I tried it, I changed my mind. The usual off the shelf scrub really pokes the skin. But this scrub is really different.

But have to see how la. The products are not cheap.... at least not for me la. I'm always broke these days. I don't think I'll be able to afford to fork out so much money for this. But the question is "Healthy beautiful skin or Money?" Plus there's no guaranty that the products will work for me. But then again, no harm trying.
