I hate fixing PCs! Arghghghg!

Currently facing a lot of PC problem. Currently running from my second hard drive (hdd) . Got to test some stuff out before I can finally do a clean install with NO BUGS. I did 2 installs on my second hdd already. I got the blue screen of death both times. The first time was due to some hardware issues, but the second time was because of Windows Updates! It crashed XP SP2 I had installed! WTF!

This is my third time installing XP SP2 now. I'm redownloading all the patches and giving it a second try. I hope this work if not I'll CURSEEEEE like hell. ...but working or not I still have to reformat this hdd. I have 2 OS sitting on the same drive now... damn the Windows Update!

I'm migrating over to XP at work tomorrow too. No longer going to be on NT. I hope all goes well. *cross fingers* I don't want to waste time waiting for my PC to get fixed at work too!

Having mixed feelings about he migration actually...I don't really want to use XP at work.

Pro
1. Nicer GUI
2. Will be on Lotus Notes 6 (with intergrated IM chat)
3. USB'able

Con
1. I don't care about GUI, using the classic face at home to save resources.
2. Chat systems can be annoying sometimes.
3. XP will be running about 30% slower compared to NT! And to make things worst... I'm only on 256mb of RAM at work. Some idiot stole my RAM back in Feb.

Haiss.. see how it goes la. I have to migrate. Too bad.

Oh yeah, just a reminder. PIKOM PC fair starts tomorrow until Sunday in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. Reachable by the LRT (PUTRA), make a stop at KLCC and walk over to Tower Records (some where near KFC\Swatch\ColdStorage) and there you will see a tunnel connecting to the KL Convention Center.
