Vegetarian Nyonya food
I was at Mama Sayang, a Nyonya vegetarian restaurant in Taman Desa for dinner today. It's very easy to locate the restaurant. It's a corner restaurant, the same row as the Taman Desa hospital.
Statue outside of the restaurant for even easier identification.
I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant. It has those olden coffee shops tables and chairs, with really cosy dim lit oil lamp lightings (it's powered by electricity; the exterior is the shape of oil lamps).
My favourite section of the restaurant.
Other decorations on the wall.
I initial wanted to take some snap shot and do a review on the food, but I forgot. Hehehe I was too busy eating. By the time I remembered the food was almost finished. Overall rating of the food: 9/10 Yum yum!
If anyone plan to eat there, their vegetarian Sambal Petai Prawns is a must to try!

I was a vegetarian for a couple of month, then i switch back. Eating all the flour and coloring, can make you fat and unhealthy in the end.
MrKiasu: yeah i agree. my uncle who was a vegetarian since young actually has high colestrol (<---wrong spelling?...but ahh my spelling sarks). too much beans it seems
Hi, MrKS: Perhaps you can choose veg meals with more vegetables, legumes, fruits, mushrooms, etc, instead of having majority of flour and coloring. This is healthy vegetarian food.
hi, teckiee: if i am not mistaken, no plants have cholesterol. Cholesterol is only made by animals (including humans). Your uncle probably have it in his genes which tell his body to make more cholesterol than he needs.
