I microwaved a lizard

I got to know about the movie Daisy a few days back while reading a printed interview with the movie director Andrew Lau. The movie is actually a Korean movie but directed by Andrew Lau who is a HongKie (Hong Kong). He got the Korean's attention with Infernal Affairs (which is my favorite Hong Kong trilogy) and was approached to direct Daisy. The main actress in the movie is the same girl from Sassy Girl (another good Korean movie).

The movie is a romantic movie, with bits and pieces of action going on. I really like the story line of the movie... so happy, yet sad. And yeahhh I cried watching the movie hehehe. Really touching ma ;P I recommended the movie to those that enjoyed Sassy Girl, or Sweet Home Alabama... it's got that kind of feeling to the movie.

Ok, from romantic to gross. I microwaved a lizard today! Unintentionally la of course!

After reheating food or baking, I usually leave the microwave door open first to let all the warm air out before shutting the door. Someone reheated something and left it open too. So... when I place my chung in the microwave, I didn't realize that a lizard actually crawled in it! I didn't see the lizard so I think it must have been under the round metal plate.

I set the heat to Low and reheated for 2 minutes. While waiting, I went to my PC room to continue working on my stuff. I heard something pop in the microwave.... I thought that it was the chung because I didn't cover it for reheat. But ...echo("I used the same settings yesterday also ma, how come no pop sound yesterday? ...hm maybe different type of chung?");

When I went back to collect my chung, I found the lizard lying dead on the round metal plate beside my bowl. EEK!

It looked dried on the outside... but it was still fat so I'm guessing the inside is still "juicy". The lizard must have been crawling around in the heat looking for an exit before it popped to death. I think the wet slimy lizard skin make the popping sound. Thank god it didn't explode in the microwave... the whole lizard was still intact.

Of course I threw out my chung. Cleaned the whole oven after that... but I wonder if that's enough. I want to soak it in Dettol!
