My anti virus scan results came up with 7 worms on my PC. Cool huh LOL! My first time encountering this man. Siow i tell ya. Sean had 8! Anyways got rid of them. Hopefully everything is ok.

I bought 2 pairs of heels yesterday. Weee! But what i really need is;
- a pair of trainners
- a pair of sandals or flats
- a new pair of jeans that i can fit in
- a few rounds of Para Para on the Para Para Machine!

...I'm still so damn bored. I finished watching Sex in the City the City, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu and Avenger in just a few days. I'm desparate for movies, series and anime...arghghgh.

Thank you Kun for lending me your ears.

"why don't just FAIL?"...Okay, I was really really upset until I forgot my grammar. (..actually I’m always like that...LOL…not upset la, I was refereeing to my England ;P) I'm still a little disappointed with myself, but life goes on. I asked my assessor how come she gave me only 12 marks. She told me I did not read the question nicely. I only answered a part of the question(s). Many people make that mistake, and I was one of them. At least I know my mistake now.

I just don't feel too good today. I almost fried my PC because I was still watching Sex in the City that Jin passed to me while it was raining heavily outside. The lightning struck and the main power supply turned off. Lucky thing my PC is still ok. Anyways, my uncle called me yesterday and told me he brought home a Mac and two old UPS from his office. I get to keep one of the UPS. Even though it’s a second hand UPS…and I don’t really think I need one...but what the heck! Going over to his place maybe next week to help him fix stuff up…Mac Mac…I’m so excited! I never really got to play with one! ..might me helping ywen set up her LAN at home too. Hohoho.

American Idol is on now..will be back later

Comprehending Engineers - Take One
Two engineering students were walking across campus when one said, "Where did you get such a great bike?" The second engineer replied, "Well, I was walking along yesterday minding my own business when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike. She threw the bike to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want." "The second engineer nodded approvingly, "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fit."

Comprehending Engineers - Take Two
To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass ishalf empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Comprehending Engineers-Take Three
A pastor, a doctor and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers. The engineer fumed, "What's with these guys? We must have been waiting for 15 minutes!" The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such ineptitude! "The pastor said, "Hey, here comes the greenskeeper. Let's have a word with him." [dramatic pause]

"Hi George. Say, what's with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?" The greenskeeper replied, "Oh, yes, that's a group of blind firefighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime." The group was silent for a moment. The pastor said, "That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight." The doctor said, "Good idea. And I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist buddy and see if there's anything he can do for them." The engineer said, "Why can't these guys play at night?"

Comprehending Engineers-Take Four
There was an engineer who had an exceptional gift for fixing all things mechanical. After serving his company loyally for over 30 years, he happily retired. Several years later the company contacted him regarding a seemingly impossible problem they were having with one of their multimillion dollar machines. They had tried everything and everyone else to get the machine to work but to no avail. In desperation, they called on the retired engineer who had solved so many of their problems in the past. The engineer reluctantly took the challenge. He spent a day studying the huge machine. At the end of the day, he marked a small "x" in chalk on a particular component of the machine and stated, "This is where your problem is". The part was replaced and the machine worked perfectly again. The company received a bill for $50,000 from the engineer for his service. They demanded an itemized accounting of his charges. The engineer responded briefly:
One chalk mark : $1
Knowing where to put it : $49,999
It was paid in full and the engineer retired again in peace.

Comprehending Engineers-Take Five
What is the difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers?
Mechanical Engineers build weapons, Civil Engineers build targets.

Comprehending Engineers-Take Six
Three engineering students were gathered together discussing the possible designers of the human body. One said, "It was a mechanical engineer. Just look at all the joints." Another said, "No, it was an electrical engineer. The nervous system has many thousands of electrical connections." The last said, "Actually it was a civil engineer. Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline through a recreational area?"

Comprehending Engineers-Take Seven
"Normal people ... believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet."
----- Scott Adams, The Dilbert Principle

Comprehending Engineers-TakeEight
An architect, an artist and an engineer were discussing whether it was better to spend time with the wife or a mistress.
The architect said he enjoyed time with his wife, building a solid foundation for an enduring relationship.
The artist said he enjoyed time with his mistress, because of the passion and mystery he found there.
The engineer said, "I like both."
"Both?"
Engineer: "Yeah. If you have a wife and a mistress, they will each assume you are spending time with the other woman, and you can go to the lab and get some work done."

Comprehending Engineers - Take Nine
An engineer was crossing a road one day when a frog called out to him and said, "If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess".
He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket.
The frog spoke up again and said, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week."
The engineer took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to the pocket.
The frog then cried out, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a princess, I'll stay with you and do ANYTHING you want."
Again the engineer took the frog out, smiled at it and put it back into his pocket.
Finally, the frog asked, "What is the matter? I've told you I'm abeautiful princess, that I'll stay with you for a week and do anything you want. Why won't you kiss me?"
The engineer said, "Look I'm an engineer. I don't have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog, now that's cool."

Something i got from my cous LiKeng thru email. LOL!

1. Compaq is considering changing the command "Press Any Key" to "Press Return Key" because of the flood of calls asking where the "Any" key is.

2. AST technical support had a caller complaining that her mouse was hard to control with the dust cover on. The cover turned out to be the plastic bag the mouse was packaged in.

3. Another Dell customer called to say he couldn't get his computer to fax anything. After 40 minutes of troubleshooting, the technician discovered the man was trying to fax a piece of paper by holding it in front of the monitor screen and hitting the "Send" key.

4. Yet another Dell customer called to complain that his keyboard no longer worked. He had cleaned it by filling up his bathtub with soap and water and soaking the keyboard for a day, then removing all the keys and washing them individually. <--I think i'll learn from this guy! hehehe

5. A Dell technician received a call from a customer who was enraged because his computer had told him he was "Bad and an invalid." The tech explained that the computer's "bad command" and "invalid" responses shouldn't be taken personally.

6. A confused caller to IBM was having trouble printing documents. He told the technician that the computer sent out an error message indicating that it "couldn't find printer." The user had also tried turning the computer screen to face the printer, but that his computer still couldn't "see" the printer.

7. An exasperated caller to Dell Computer Tech Support couldn't get her new Dell Computer to turn on. After ensuring the computer was plugged in, the technician asked her what happened when she pushed the power button. Her response, "I pushed and pushed on this foot pedal and nothing happened." The "foot pedal" turned out to be the computer's mouse...

8. Another customer called Compaq tech support to say her brand new computer wouldn't work. She said she unpacked the unit, plugged it in and sat there for 20 minutes waiting for something to happen. When asked what happened when she pressed the power switch, she asked, "What power switch?"

9. Another IBM customer had trouble installing software and rang for support. "I put in the first disk, and that was OK. It said to put in the second disk, and had some problems with the disk. When it said to put in the third disk, I couldn't even fit it in..." The user hadn't realized that "Insert Disk 2" implied that Disk 1 be removed first.

10. A story from a Novell NetWare SysOp: CALLER: "Hello, is this Tech Support?"
TECH: "Yes, it is. How may I help you?"
CALLER: "The cup holder on my PC is broken and I am within my warranty period. How do I go about getting that fixed?"
TECH: "I'm sorry, but did you say a cup holder?"
CALLER: "Yes, it's attached to the front of my computer."
TECH: "Please excuse me. If I seem a bit stumped, it's beca use I am. Did you receive this as part of a promotional at a trade show? How did you get this cup holder? Does it have any trademark on it?"
CALLER: "It came with my computer. I don't know anything about a promotional. It just has '4X' on it."
At this point, the Tech Rep had to mute the caller because he couldn't stand it. He was laughing too hard. The caller had been using the load drawer of the CD-ROM drive as a cup holder and it had snapped it off the drive.

11. A woman called the Canon help desk with a problem with her printer. The tech asked her if she was "running it under Windows." The woman responded, "No, my desk is next to the door. But that is a good point. The man sitting in the cubicle next to me is under a window and his printer is working fine."

12. And last but not least:
TECH SUPPORT: "O.K. Bob, let's press the control and escape keys at the same time. That brings up a task list in the middle of the screen. Now type the letter "P" to bring up the Program Manager."
CUSTOMER: "I don't have a 'P'".
TECH SUPPORT: "On your keyboard, Bob."
CUSTOMER: "What do you mean?"
TECH SUPPORT: " 'P' on your keyboard, Bob."
CUSTOMER: "I'm not going to do that!"

3rd entry for today...yeah i dead bored. Wei Chnoong went to buy his latin dancing shoes yesterday. I followed him. I saw some really nice ladies latin shoes there too. I really want this. I'll definitely buy another pair of dancing shoes when i start my next serious dance class.

Bahir send me this link yesterday. Something like chin2. But chin2 still da best!

My dad's car air-con died! I drove from APIIT to Sek. Men. Keb Damansara Jaya and then back home in the jam with hot air (like those from a hair drier) blowing. Hell i yell ya.

Today is my daddy's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

I didn't wake up early enough to wish his happy birthday so i did it through the phone. I don't think we will be offcially celebrating his birthday today cos my sis have tuition tonight and my grandma is over. I parents usually won't let my grandma know about all this kind of stuff. If she does then she'll "aiyah, i give you one angpow. blablabla".

Anyways, things have been boring this few days. I haven been doing much work on my FYP mid point until today. Today is an exception cos i'm at college. No big distraction. ...well except of this blog of course hehehe. I'm gonna leave soon tho. Have to pick my sis up from school.

I saw Ming Lee and Hon Keong just now. They had their mid-point interview already. Hon Keong's assessor kind of focus more on the management research. I guess its all not about the techinical part of the system. The non-technical part plays a big part in the marks too. Also saw Akmal and Kevin in the library. Looking for UML Distilled. I think that book is too general. I adviced them to get the User Manual. (Why am i blogging about book? ...I'm so so bored)

Someone please help meee...i need my UHMPP back...my energy...my geek semangat. Arghh this really sucks man.

I can't work late again. My grandmama came over to stay again. I'm now really seriously thinking of moving all of my stuff out from the PC room and to some where else. I can't just be playing nomad. It's killing me.

Sunday, February 15, 2004

I freaked out just now. My PC started to lag..a lot. The Explorer (not IE, the windows explorer) was eating up a lot of resources. Didn't know what was happening. Took me like 35 minutes to back up less than 100kb of stuff to my thumbdrive and floopy. Sial. Anyways, i rebooted. I thought everything would be fine. It was...until I opened IE. I was trying to upload pictures to my photoblog, the page keep reloading itself! Then Ms Outlook on my PC open all by itself twice! I still have no idea what is going on.

Anyways, i got the shock of my life yesterday when Kun told be he was getting married on the 30th this month. But then i was less amuse after i called him. He still was going to get married...but....hahahaha. Then later in the afternoon Crabman called me. He didn't speak. But the background was someone singing karaoke LOL...hmm can't seem to remember what song was being sung.

Sex is zero is a good korean show. Funny ...but painful stuff. Watched the movie yesterday with out subtitles! But i understood the story. Hais... the girl had an abortion.

I was home yesterday. My parents ended up staying at home too. Ah well...

oh i forgot...i updated this...tell me what you think.

Happy Valentine's Day!

hahahha.... that's some good phone sex

Some people consider this as "over-achieving". I think differently. What is the point of school anyways? It is to set an educational base for us, correct? Then shouldn't we utilize that base to excel out of mediocrity? I am not over-achieving, others are simply letting their potentiality decay.

Two very unproductive days. I watched Goticha (correct spelling?) and Something's Gotta Give yesterday. Both movies are ok.

Then i watched Cowboy Bebop Knockin' On Heaven's Door today. Not bad. Became my sis's driver and my brother's delivery woman. Actually Zhong drove...hehehe thank yous. We went to 1 Utama after that. I bought my dad's, mom's and sis's birthday cards. Phew. All their bdays back to back. Zhong bought me a KUKU MALU pencil case! A really belated bday pressie. Muahahhaa i've eyed on KUKU MALU products for like ages. I want it for the name only actually...hahahah. Yes me is so nottie *grin* I needed a pencil case anyways ;P Went to meet up with Zhong's friends after that. May Fay was there too. Didn't see her for like 3 years already. She changed a lot. I got real bored watching her and yi ven play, but listening to their conversation was LOL. I played a round of pool with Zhong after he is finished with snooker. I won naturally LOL! ...hais...i feel like seafood. Crabman should know what i mean.

I can wash my hair tomorrow! YES! Its killing me!!!

Monday, February 09, 2004

I came back from Singapore yesterday. ...I miss my kor kor already. =(

It should be about 11.36pm over at Philadelphia now. Bro must be sleeping already at his place. He called back yesterday at about 1pm Singapore time. He said his flight was good. He sat deluxe class (one class above economy class) for this flight to Taiwan. The seats were a bit bigger compared to economy class. Then transit to France. Economy class seats but no one was sitting beside him. So not that bad cos more comfy. He said the flight from France to U.S. was the most comfy cos all the seats in his row is empty! Huahuahua. He pushed up all the handles and slept. ...24++ hours very very stressful.

After sending my bro off, my aunty drove me to her favorite salon. I sat down. Told the hair stylist that I still want my hair long. She said ok. Then *snap* ....ouch...i feel the pain. My hair. She cut my fringe until the mid of my cheek. (Short la....yucky man) Then she layered the back of my hair a lot! She said I have thick hair..so the layering will make my hair look slim. (Yeah rite, I think I look like I'm having a hair lost) Anyways, my hair sucked. I didn't like it. Reminds me of my "growing my short hair long again" period when I was in Form2. It was almost dinner time when the hair stylist is done with my hair. Didn't have time to mess my hair. So i went back to the same salon the next day at 8.30am! Phew...I have to wake up at 7.30 *eye bags* Went for breakfast first, then my butt was glued to the salon chair for 3 hours after that. I did 'hair rebonding'. (aka straightening) My hair is flat now. No shape at all. Hais...I hope my hair grows prettier before my graduation.

Friday, February 06, 2004

Hm...OT was...actually kind of easy if i studied! But i think i did ok. I know i won't be getting a first class for this subject, but i think i still can hope for a second upper. The questions were actually very straight forward. But i didn't have time to finish the paper, got kind of stuck at all the class diagrams. I lost marks because i didn't see a diagram (question B1, the darn use case diagram) properly too. Hais...i was too "chong tong". Plus i think the printing lines was blur. I wonder if i can appeal for more marks because of it.

I'm looking forward to HCI exam now. I have good confidence in it. Hopefully thats a first class. I was quite dissapointed when i found out i only got a second upper for my HCI incourse...=( .....worked very hard for the project.

Anyways...i wont be here for the weekends. I'm off to Singapore after this. Gonna see my brother off. I'm gonna miss him. =( =( =(

Saturday. Yam char with Paul and the gang at McD's in Center Point. Wei Chin came too! After 8 of them came to my house to make money ;P I lost ...erm..i forgot how much i lost. RM10? This guy won the most. Lucky lucky. When all of them left, i got a message from him. He left RM20 (tho he said only RM10) under my modem. ....giving away free money. Ah well, i say thank you for investing in me.

Sunday. I was actually plannig to study that night. But...Jackson rang me. He said people were at his place, plenty of food and stuff. So i went over. I didn't plan to stay long...but hahaha yeah you guessed it. Lost $ again la. Ish no luck. But after that i kind of 'tumpang' luck with Shau Shiang. Hahaha darn ma. I need male power to help me. That night was fun. Lilian Too shitz came up. Feng Shui stuff. LOL! Anyways, Joanne, Kenny, Ru Hui, Don, Don's gf, that girl whos name i forgot but used to be in my school, ...its good to see them again. After that some had to leave. Some of us went to Williams to yam char. Talked about everything. I wished that 1 and a half hour would last forever. I slept really "early that day"

Monday. I went over to SJ's place. Another superb afternoon. [edit: continue]
Pui Pui, Zhong, Roseline and Jackson was there too along with a lot of Suet Yee's friends. SUPERB! Me Zhong and Jackson were like the Lilian Trio!(From Lilian Too, 3 of us so Lilian Trio. Hehehe we kept using lines and gestures from Lilian Too's talk) Hahaha! You see, i put some $ over to Jackson's hands, and some over at Zhong. And both of them put their $ on mine and each other too. The superb thing about it was 3 of us keep getting the same cards! 3 of us got BlackJack all at once! Got 'Ma poh' together too! Aiyor, a lot of turns...all same cards...LOL! The ironic thing is all in all i got a lucky RM2 only. Hahaha. Kind of lost to Zhong during the first few rounds when he was the chongker. Overall i had a really really good time there. Lots and lots of fun hehehe. At least lots of fun for the Lilian Trio!

Tuesday.Did some studying. Went to my uncles house at night to visit. So..didn't get to go to Jackson's place. I've could have meet up with a few of my ex-schoolmates. Hais..nvm la. Some other time.

Wednesday.aka.Today. Went to APIIT today. Best group study ever. Wasted Sean wasn't there with us. Me, Jin, Dave and Ah Ching Kor. Hahahah. I was really in the mood to study by the end of the day. Then i went for dinner with Mei Ghee and a few others. My gosh...haven seen all of them is such a long time. First time i've seen How Chek in 3 years! Then haven seen Mag, Sern, Hau, HanWing, Paul for like a year! None of them changed..even a bit. LOL. All still the chicken bakside sex monkey brain jakun (in a good way *grin*) LOL! Meet Audrey too. I danced with her once on a dance showcase. Hehehe she can't remember me tho. Hmm..and there was Seng Loon (if i remembered his name correctly), Wei Seng's younger bro. ...Younger than me also, but graduating this year. FAST! and i tot i was fast.

Thursday.aka.Tomorrow. Future blogging. I will most definitely me digging into my stack of books, slides and notes. My most ARGH chapter.. System Architecture, Framework, CBD, CommponentPackageDeploymentDiagram...DESIGN PATTERNS! Help me somebody! *cries*

Friday.akaExamDay.Wish me luck.

Nick, Aili, Paul, Julina, Hiew Yuen and JinBee in U.K. already. Gambatteh over there!
