Happy Birthday Mr Elmo Man Rishy! Sorry I can't be there for your party..but I wished I was there!

…arghhh I‘m so drained today. I think I’ll take the night off coding. I need to reformat my brain and clear out all the bad RAM I had this 3 days.

I went to pick Zhong up at about 10.30am. I was awed when I he came out because he was wearing slacks! I know it’s something I see everyday in APIIT (If you didn’t already know, APIIT have the workplace dress code) but Zhong…slacks…woah. He looks like he was going to ‘meet the parents’ lol! I then drove us to lunch and the National Library. Huahuahua. We saw 3 ambulances on the road actually, one on the way there and two on the way back. I wonder what happened. Anyways, I think I didn’t give Zhong a heart attack in the car…except for one time at the ..errr hahahahah.

We went to 1U after the library to go see the GT cars. There were only 3 tho. One supra, one NSX and I the other I forgot…hehehe I don’t know much about cars. I just like to look at them. Got to meet Kok Keong there also *grin*

We walked over to the new wing and I saw the new Nokia 7200. Nice! The guys didn’t like it tho. The exterior is actually half sweat absorption fabric with a modern abstract kind of pattern printed to it. Comes in 3 colors, beige, blue and black. I personally like the beige, the black looks good too, very ‘gaya’ look, the blue I didn’t like cos I think the blue is a bit too light. When the phone is flipped open, it looks really good. The keypads got this like iPod kind of feel to it. The TFT screen display is sweettt. A cam built in, and can record up to 50 seconds of video. The navigation and all was good, but there was one thing I didn’t like about the phone tho, I didn’t like the icons in the GUI of the phone. The phone is a little thick when it’s closed but for me I think there are a lot of camera phone out there that are thicker then the Nokia 7200. Conclusion, if I had the $cha ching$, I still wouldn’t get that phone cos I want a new PC/laptop! Plus I don’t treat my phone too well. I think I’ll stick to reliable drop proof phones hehehe. Went back to back the old wing to look for Jin, Dave and Ah Ching Kor after that. Left after that cos I had to get back early.

Summary;
- Define: Cybersex : Online communication between two or more people leading to a virtual sexual encounter or act.
- Librarian will always answer your simple questions with long and complex answers.
- You’ll get a RM1.60 discount off your second RM10 photocopying card.
- I realised that I have memberships and photocopying cards for 3 different libraries.
- Def Leppard and Silverchair songs are good to listen to in traffic jams.

Random thoughts, by Teckiee. I did this back in 2000

Wednesday, April 28, 2004

I think my processor (ref to my brain) was multithreading/tasking too much yesterday. The bus wasn’t doing its job properly also. Low in RAM. PSU not providing enough electricity. I was coding, debugging, googling, chatting and designing stuff yesterday…super blur already. A lot going on my mind.

I tried restoring my project db on SQLServer just now. I think I screwed the settings somewhere. Damn. I kind of forgot how to restore the db, so there was some trial and error action going on. I called Sean at the end to help me out but I ended up getting restore errors. Argh. How am I going to do my work like that. *grumble grumble*

Design work for my FYP is so memafarnkan also. Yeeasssh. 39..or isit 38 more days to go until the due. If only
$timePause=True;
$energyStatus++;
I still have 3 major modules to code. *criess* I feel like giving up one module...but...arghh cannottt man. I desparately need to go to the National Library also but I have no idea how to get there. Can someone draw a map for me (starting from anywhere in PJ) plssss? Email it to me! eechian@gmail.com =) YC told me the road might be under construction or the road changed already. So a map is good. Need a volunteer (Preferably someone who is ready to die cos I will be driving..hahaha) to accompany me and help me dig up info in the library too. Anyone got time--; (time to kill)? If all goes well I'll be going this Friday.

Some geek jokes from Rishy's Forum. Hohoho good stuff.

Another similar: 10 signs that you are addicted to coding

1) You go to bed and close your eyes and see your code, and notice a missing semi colon and go back on the PC and sure enough, it's missing, so you fix it, then end up staying another hour to add some other feature to the program. <--I know I'm not alone in this. Jin also like this hehehe.

2) Your job is a programmer, and you end up doing overtime for free - at home.

3) You decompiled Windows twice, only to realize it will be easier to just recode it from scratch, if you want to get those bugs fixed.

4) You *made* a Linux distro, *from stratch*

5) You failed math because you kept using programs to calculate word problems and showed the teacher the source code to prove your answer. <--I would have passed my add math if I could do that

6) When you put something in brackets while writting normal English, you put a semi colon after it.

7) When writting an essay or research paper, you use /* comments */ to indicate your statistic sources and such.

8) Watching sports to you is a big chore, while finalizing a program is done as pass time, even at work.

9) You are too lazy to search for drivers for this old sound card you found, so you program your own and they actually work.

10) The letter/number keys are less weared out than the non-letter/number keys.

Yeah...I felt like shit yesterday. But good music, headphones and a PC with internet connection can do wonders. I feel better today. Hence a happier entry to start the day.

When I read this email I got from JK, I instantly felt better. I want to share this with all of you. If anything you feel F'ed up. Just remember the quotes.
"
God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me: why are we then constantly unhappy?

God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?

God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty..

God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
.
.
.
God: Success is a measure as decided by others.. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

God: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.
.
.
.
God: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

Me: How can I get the best out of life?

God: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.
"

Thanks JK for the mail. =) ...thank you to a certain fruit too ;P

An apple a day never keeps the orange away. Pictures by Kok Keong. Written by Kok Keong. Co written by teckiee.

Once, there were plastic wires. Wires that make our enormous world seem so small, where people can reach out to each another. Then, in the vast translucent field of fiber optic, through the colours of digital light, stood an orange on one side of it, and an apple on the other. Fruits never actually mix with each another, expect their own kind.

But there was something exceptional going on…something about the aroma of the orange peel. And there was something else…something about the sourness in the sweet apple. But both the fruits know there is more to what they see. But what?

The apple grew up with his own kind. Sour as life can get, he somehow feel like life should be more than just green. The apple tries to look differently in life. One day, he noticed an aroma. Then it comes to a vision of an orange. He heard tales about oranges. They are sweet, something that apple aren't happy with. Curiosity somehow comes to the apple's mind, as he watches the orange. Watching how the orange live her life, he too wonders. What is like to be an orange, what is life being sweet? Bold as the apple gets, he makes first contact with the orange.

It’s not the norm for the orange to react to strange fruits. But somehow, the words, the questions, of the apple fascinated the orange. Physically both fruits are different. But the apple realized that there was something in common between both fruits. Both shared the surreal imagination, both shared the love of the worms and fungus that grew in them, both shared the same passion for orange peel aroma and sweet sour apples. The orange acknowledged and maintained contact.

Days have passed since. Orange and apple was having a blast of their life. They grew fond to each another. They were happy being together. Constantly rolling around the vast translucent field of fiber optic, to places they never dare to wander alone, but now with two, seems like a force to reach beyond any fruits. They were happy, for so many lives to come, until they reach the end of one end of field.

Every story has its ending. Every life, even as fruits has their ending.
What is seems as the never ending field, has reach its end. It's time to go, for fruit's was never lasting. Even as man, nothing last forever. How sad that the apple and the orange has gone to their afterlife. Never again they would vow to see each another. They both knew it's the end. The both know that one day, they have they have to be separated. Alas, they went old, and died. They went on their afterlife, to a new beginning, but who knows?

Only Fate felt so touched. Faith too was admired by their courage and their passion. Never had they both seen such fruits were bond together, not because they are physically different, but also the willingness to share and respect. But by laws of life, Fate and Faith were limited to choices. You be Fate, you be Faith, you judge and you decide.

McD's Fish McDippers's wasabi sause and the Chicken McNugget's hot mustard are yummylicious! But...never have them back to back. It gave me the tummy ache and a mild diarrhea =( Then again maybe it's just be cos I'm well known for my weak stomach. I didn't have food in the house today you see. Since I was craving for the Dipper's wasabi sauce, I head down to KJ to take away. I miss the Chicken McNugget's too so I bought ala carte 9 pieces! I was so greedyyyy...hahaha. I should have gotten the 6 pieces...cos I didn't manage to finish all the McNugget. My sis helped me munch down the rest after school.

Hm..taking about my sis... I think I have to control her PC usage. She did really bad for her first term exams. Failed 4 subjects! She didn't even manage to get A's for mod math and english! No excuse man ... english...english...my god. I understand that Form 4, esp the first term, is hard because of the sudden change in the exam style. But stillll...I was in Form 4 too...plus I'm so much dumber that she is. I think she could have done so much better. I have not propose any constrains on her PC usage yet...but I think I really should. I'm not being a mean sister rite? I mean she's like me...always at the PC. But the difference is I need my PC to work, she doesn't. But she tells me she does. "I'm the Head editor, I need to type stuff la" KONON, and you can't even get an A for your ENGLISH paper yeeashh).

I sometimes see her working on her stuff, but I see her playing Baldur's Gate a lot too. How how? Do you think an hour on school days, and four on weekends is too strict? There's a loop hole in the rules though. Both my parents are not home, I cant be home most of the time too, so how do I make sure she sticks to the rules? I don't what to be her biatch sister for limiting her PC usage but if I don't control her, I'm afraid her grades will continue to decline. I worry for her man.

*sign...* My sis is very smart and intelligent. If only she puts more effort in her studies.

*wOOt* I'm in APIIT's lab now. Just finished my meeting with my supervisor. It went well but I was kind of slacking on updating the PAGOL online diary. Kena asked some questions on that...Oops. But anyways, I got my Mid Point marks at last. Not that high but definitely better compared to my PSF =)

I had the meeting using this PC (Lab2-14). What is bad about having to present your stuff in the labs is having all the peeping toms (Esp those in Degree) peering over your shoulders to check on your work. Ish. So damn 8 (...kiasu). Yeeash. But then again I can't blame them, I think I would have done the same. Hais...no privacy man.

I got 10 hours of sleep yesterday! wOOt! But I still felt like I didn't sleep at all. Almost fell asleep in PFI class. Took a short nap when I got home from class. Dinner then meeting.

Luckly meeting was good. Jin and Sean came over to my place first. Did some stuff then I had to get the IIS running to run some ASP pages. I didn't want to install it in my work PC cos I already have Apache running. But I can't the IIS to be installed on my other PC. Have to install service pack 1 first. The last time I installed no need service pack also! Argh! Aie what ever la. Damn malas to mengada-ada with it. Went to Jin's place to finish off the meeting.

Anyways, I'm having a meeting with my supervisor tomorrow. Hohoho wish me luck man.

Wahahaha I look damn funny. But I like it =P. Hm...my pimples...my eye bags..damn teruk wei..have to sleep moreeee

Happy Birthday David Kwang!

If I don't get my 8 hours of sleep tonight...I'm skipping classes tomorrow. I woke up this morning when JK called. Wanted to continue with my slumber but didn't manage because my brain failed to shut itself down. ;P Went over to Sean's place for DBMS meeting in the afternoon. I didn't realised that DBMS project due is the first week of May. *OH NO* And there's PFI too (Have not even started coding man ahhhh). I don't know how me and my team is going to full this off. *Pray Pray*

After the meeting JK picked me up, then went over to SS2 to meet up with Zhong and Yong Ching. Later went to pick Ying up. JK drove all of us to PWTC for the PC Fair.

There were a number of booths displaying and promoting USB and mini portable mp3 players. Some were impressive, some were not. Saw most of these there. There's this other booth at the entrance level...I forgot the brand...They had 4 cool mp3 players there. But the one that I find is nice is not launched yet. Orange and black in color. (I forgot the brand..but the model number is VT-70 or something)

I also saw the local brand i-pocket DVD player. I find it not bad. This wasn't that impressive. You can't back up much data with only 32mb. With the amount of money (RM399) you pay for that, you could have gotten a 256mb thumb drive with extra cash to spare. Then again its individual preference also la. This one...I dunno man, didn't have the chance to test the sound quality...128mb not much also. I would rather have these two LOL!

There was also this booth selling networking hardware (I forgot the brand name again) who was giving out RM300 to anyone one who could slide a stand up switch to be right above the company's logo. There was this long table, and on the table was a poster with the company's logo at the end. Contestants had to stand at one end, and slide the switch to the other end. If the switch lands right above the logo, the money belongs to them. Nar...I didn't get the RM300. hehehe.

Didn't stay in the PC fair long cos I was very tired...(Plus ah...no comment la...the guys like walk a bit bit then like wanna leave already...I guess me and Ying were just geekier... LOL) Went back to PJ to meet up with Jin and Dave for dinner at Megah Grill. I ate fish marryland. Hehehe not chicken marryland. The food was ok, but I wasn't feeling ok after that. The 'langit langit' (sky?) of my mouth started to burn. I think it was the deep fried fish. Argh...got to drink tons of water now. I feeling sick already. =( Went to pasar malam after dinner...then headed home. Super tired now. Nite people.

ZZZZZzzzzzz

(featuring guest blogger, Zhong, Sean)
chian: Deja Vu

Zhong: yong ching is having deja vu. he dreamt about this. and it's happening. and he is feeling it now.
dude, take care man. cheer up! we all love you!

it's about 3 now. me and yc is chilling over in chian's place. chit chat a little. coz nothing to do at home. all of us can't sleep. all in bad mood. had a cup of whiskey. yong ching's face is tomato-ish now. sean is coming over now as well.

chian: Hoho I'm here. The guys are having their chat so I took over muahahha. Hais..I dl'ed Queer Eye for a Straight Guy. I watched it like 5 minutes with them and I kena bully already! Ahhh so bad...=( That gay meh. But i love gay mennn. LOL!

Zhong: i don't love gay men. now chian is chatting with yc, so i took over again! wuhoo!
oh yay, sean is here!

Sean: hie!

chian: lalala the buggers just left

Shit man. I'm supposed to work on DBMS today! But I didn’t …again. I’m dead if I slack off again. My group leader kind of reminded me of my work…and hinted that he needed some progress from me. Damn pai sheh. (I kind of pity him, it’s hard to tell your friend that she’s slacking) Aie…I felt damn bad because I didn’t do my part…yet. So…FOCUSS DBMS! Me is no wanna be slacker.

I went to the Kelana Jaya Giant for the second time (and it is gonna be my final time going there) today. The parking there really stupid man. Ish. Anyways, went to eat the new ‘sudu lama Tom Yam chicken’. So so only. Taste better that hot and spicy but I still prefer the original taste. A lot of ‘chang mau’ (lemon grass) taste and smell. After that I went to ss2 McD’s with Crabman and MANDY. Mueahahaha. Quote” I love MANDY” “YEAH!” “TENG!” LOL! Absorbed some tools and tricks of the trade during the session. Hoho not bad wei. Doing some critical evaluation now hohoho.

Note to you know who you are: Thank you!!! Thanks for your time and ‘resources’ man. I really really appreciate it. I owe you one. I think I wouldn’t got the damn function to work if you weren’t there to help. Thanks a lotssss. wOOt!

I always tell myself I'll work my arse off for the paper with the word "Toh Ee Chian" and "1st Class Hons Degree in Computing" but slack off when it comes to a paid job. Just do things that you are paid to do, nothing more. But I'm begining to feel that I will still be a sucker for work in the real working environment. I just hope that my feelings are wrong.

Awaken by loud banging and drilling noise...AGAIN. I'm really sleep deprived this two weeks. I desperately need sleep. Ying..can I crash at your place while you are at work? I have your keys so I'll invite myself in? Hehehe

Got soaked in the rain. Feeling a little feverish now :(

My anti virus detected an infected file on my PC. $#@! And I finally found out how I got the damn spyware that have been hanging around for the past week. Stupid shit...and I am damn careful when it comes to installing stuff. Have to get rid of it. $#@!

Daren got stung by a bee. On the ear. Poor fellow. The ear bengkak.

Wednesday, April 14, 2004

Note to self: Remember to restart the server when changes are made to the .ini file.

I downloaded a free email server from download.com today cos I have no idea how to get the Exchange server from Outlook to work. Can I even do that? LOL! I tried setting up the foc SMTP server today so I could use it for my project. Thank god for manuals and help files! I think I set the server up right. My mail() function is working, or so it seems. The logs states that the emails are sent out, but I'm not receiving any of them. I know they are sent out cos my my anti-virus scanned the mails every time they are sent out. I think there's something wrong in the MTA part. ..must find out how to fix it soon.

I have 50 days left to finish off my individual final year project. Not a single module completed. I feel the stress.

My dad's car got hit by a bola baling today. I parked the car at the side of the road in front of my sister's school while waiting for her. Then this bus filled with students (I think they just came back from a bola baling tournament) stopped behind and dropped the students. Suddenly I hear this loud THUD on my car. Then another thud. Then I saw the ball roll down the windscreen to the floor. Freaked me out a little. The ball bounced off the boot of the car and on the top of the car before it fell to the ground. The guy that responsible for the throwing the ball came to apologies after that. The car wasn't dented (I think) so I guess it was ok.

Anyways, I added 3 more videos to my random stuff. 2 dance videos and one of them my goofy animated assigment I did with Jin back in Diploma. The animations sucks, but watch it for the storyline la yeah. hehehe.

Didn't sleep well yesterday. The noise...argh. Can die la. I need sleep. I think I have to stop working late. Sleep early and wake up early.

Birthday dinner with Sean was good. We ate at Yuen's Steamboat in Sunway. Less people on weekdays so the place wasn't that pack. Everyone got to eat the chicken wings =) Went over to Summit after that. I tried archery for the first time. I like it. Have to work on my left arm tho. Bo liat to hold the bow properly when I aim. Then I played pool with the Yong Ching…I won. Hahaha. But then he fong sui also lo. We have to play serious game next time hehehe. After that Yong Ching when to play snooker with David Koh and Kwang and Somrat. I left to look for Jin and the rest at the arcade. Rm0.50 for a game of Disney Dance Dance Revolution. Cheap man. I played a few rounds hohoho. I played double with Jin and Sean too. I think Sean is addicted to it now muahahha. Dance pad! Don’t play play also man…Sean can DDR man. Meet up with the rest later. The guys had a round of foosball before we left. I had fun.

The food. yum yum!

Birthday man!

Watermelon...hahaha no comments

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEAN!!!

Monday, April 12, 2004

Its bad to have snacks before dinner time...*burb* Passed by McD's on the way back from class. Ta pou the new Fish fingers thingy to try. The wasabi sauce is superb! I love it! I think can kind of DIY actually. Just add wasabi in to mayo. Hohoho I wonder if it would taste the same.

Anyways, Sean just reminded me in the car to host Jin's reaction when we surprised her during her birthday. Go here and scroll to the bottom. The link is there. Save the video to your harddisk la kay...low bandwidth for streaming. Go here for the pictures.

My idol was "invited to 'fill in the blank' for a couple of non-live shows" for Call For Help. Yeah yeah! It would be great to have him back. I actually stop watching Call For Help when Leo took over..cos he sucks big time...but it doesn't matter now cos he's leaving TechTV. I want Chris!

hm..blogger's bug or what? I cant seem to publish my post. Test test.

While (almost) the whole world swarms in, out and about Zouk@KL yesterday for Tiesto (Passed by Zouk and saw this super long bee line of clubbers waiting to get in. Crazy I tell ya), I was at Atmosphere with Jin, Dave, Crabman, Ying and Zhong to celebrate Jin’s 21st Birthday. *wOOt wOOt* A number of ‘Tiesto rejects’ ;P came to join us a little later.

Lazy to type, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking. More pictures at my photo blog.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY CH'NG VEN!!! Sorry I couldn't be there for your party :(

Shitz happened today. Released my anger/sadness/#$@! at various people today. I'm sorry, I pity yous but thank you (you know who yous are) for your ears, eyes and presence. I went over to YWen's place today to help her with her PC. I felt better after that...I don't know why. YWen doesn't know this. She won't know about this until she reads this. I hope she's doing ok with the video cam now. Lalala long story. Thank you YWen. Hehehe.

What the *uck happen? Well...my 1st sem results came out today. I didn't do well. I guess my subconscious wish came true. I told myself it would be great to get *ucked up results so I would be able to turn myself back to the normal geek me and focus. My results may seem ok for certain people, but not for me. I know there's more to me than that. So much more. So people, I know its weird/selfish or what ever you may call it, but stop telling me how "good" my results are because I know they are not. I need words of encouragement. Not consoling words. I need positive encouragement, I need to hear it from your mouth. Don't pity me with your words, its a damned turn off. If I ever hang up on anyone about this topic, let me apologies first, because what you are saying will only lower my will power to strive for what I want. I know I'm a stubborn selfish thick headed bitch. Sue me later. I have been losing focus since my birthday last year. I realised that. I know many of you realise that too, esp Zhong. I've got to be back on track now, before it's too late to do anything. I need my real life back. No point crying over spilt now. All I want is my focus.

I think my parents thinks I'm an alcoholic. Long story, but not related to me being drunk.

Fuck

Wokie...I'm back. Ok heres the story...

Yesterday was a blast! Me and Sean collected Jin's birthday cake from Berry's at about 4pm. Then went over to Dave's. Yong Ching and Zhong was already there when we got there. And I thought we were going to be the earliest. Dave was making spaghetti sauce at that time. Smells damn good. Anyways, it was still very early. Sean set up his PS2, ta kei a bit, watch tv a bit. David #2 (Kwang) came a bit after that.

Dave left at about 6 to pick Jin up. When they entered the house Jin was blindfolded, then as Dave removes her blindfold...SURPRISE! I caught her reaction all on video. Hohoho. (I'll host it later [if the birthday gal permits], you have to see it for yourself) Amy, Sook Ching and Wei Chin and her bf came a little later. The bbq was fun. But poor me because I was the constant kutuking target for Kwang. Muahahah I shall seek my vengeance soon. Zhong was full of his shitz too hahaha. "I'm cumming...i'm cumming...hahh seee it came" I have to say, he is good at that, it "came" many times hahahaha. After the food everyone was giving their stomach a break before the drinking session starts. By that time Amy, Sook Ching and Wei Chin already left. The guys was PS2ing, the rest of us was play card games, drink drink..and drink.

me->drink too much->puked. Not something I am proud of.

..got my phone back already.

Pictures up later.

My head doesnt hurt, but my stomach feels weird from all the puking going on yesterday. Updates on Jin's surprise party later. I need to get my tummy right, and get my phone back from Sean.

Big thank you to Sean and David Kwang. Thanks for being there yesterday. Hais...paisheh, sorry if I ruined your nights. Next round of drinks on me. LOL!

I think I have fallen in love with 5 gay men. LOL! Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. A must see show! (Even for straight men..actually..esp for straight men) On local broadcast 8TV Saturday nights (Sunday morning) 12mid night. Why must they air this show on a Saturday night? Haiss.

This is Kai, the culture venture. He's so cute! ...but gay la..aisheh hehehe

Ted, food and wine connoisseur. I wish he could be my dad and cook for us every day.

Kyan, grooming guru. A gay manly man.

All of the Fabulous 5

Now, who said gay men looks gay?

I just read Jin's blog. I'm number six.

"You are warm, loving, devoted and affectionate. Your outgoing, thoughtful nature attracts many girlfriends/boyfriends to you and usually some of the nicest guys/gals too. Because of your need to care, you can end up in a relationship that requires too much care taking to make it balanced. Since home and family play important roles in your life, you are unlikely to be attracted to guys/gals who your parents wouldn't like. Sometimes you have a slight jealous streak... but it doesn't last long. Some people with this love attitude number are prone to making harsh judgements of others, especially when others don't share your set of values. You are especially attracted to the good looking, boy/girl-next-door type who is smart as well as a gentle man/woman."

I'm still thinking about sending both my PC's to the repair shop. Both PC processor fan have been acting up lately. One fail to spin, I've already checked the power supply connection and stuff but nothing happens. The other is making a lot of noise when I boot my PC. I feel like getting a new PC. *Thinking of Ywen and JK now, they are at Low Yat now*

I better be off...must have progress in DBMS meeting today. *feels lazy already*

Heavy rain today. Thank god I didn't leave my PC on when i left for college. I saw fallen telephone poles. I saw uprooted trees. I saw broken branches. I saw my neighbour's roof on my house porch. Scary.

Feel damn lz today.. lalala...

I'm so so so damn bored.

The smell of freshly cut grass fills the air, the ground so soft and moist.
I lay on my back, my face feeling the warm morning sun rays.
A glance to the left, I see the beautiful orchids mom planted.
A glance to the right, I see a piece of machine.
I rolled over.
The machine was staring at me, I stared back.
How did it get there, I wondered…
Ah well who cares.
With a push of a button, and a few clicks,
I was logged on to life.
Ah how nice…..sun, grass, and a laptop with WiFi connection.

[Note: pun intended hehehe]

Cleaning a keyboard for dummies

Yep, it's that time again...to clean my super disgusting dirty keyboard. Eekk! For those who have never tried cleaning your keyboard, well here's a guide I whooped up just for fun. There are many ways you can clean your keyboard. This is how I clean mine.

Step 1

Unplug your keyboard. You don't have to if you don't want to. But it is easier to handle if its unpluged.

Step 2

Use a screw driver to pop the keys out from the keyboard. You can actually use other tools to pop the keys. (Eg a ruler, your long nails, a slim pen, even a needle) Don't be afraid to yank the keys out. It wont hurt. LOL. You keyboard will look like the above with all the keys out. Mine is super dirty. Can you see those crumbs and eye lash? I'm such a dirty pig. (note: the yellow stuff is not dirt. Its some grease they put under the spacebar, shift and enter key...looks like ear wax rite...gross)

Step 3

Dump all the keys into a basin or something. Add some soap and water and let it soak for about 15 minutes (you might want to soak it longer if your keys are super dirty like mine).

Step 4

While the keys are soaking, vacume up all those 'eeaeeuuuu' stuff out of the gaps. I used this (see above pic) vacume head to get the dirt out. Works wonders.

Step 5

For those really hard to reach places, use a wet/damped cottonbud to clean. Use a clean cloth to clean the other areas (the flat surface) of the board too.

Step 6

Ok, when it's time to get the keys out, use an old toothbrush/scrub/sponge to clean the keys individually. I recommeded the toothbrush and sponge for the scrubbing, cos if you were to use the green rough scrub, the scrub might scrub off the printing on the keys. You might end up scracting the surface of the keys too. In my case I use both the toothbrush and scrub, the toothbrush for the surface, and the scrub for the sides of the keys.

Step 7

Rinse the keys. Then let them dry under the sun. If possible, dry them out with a cloth first. Use magazine paper (try not to use newspaper cos the newspaper might dirty your keys because of its black ink) or some unused cardboard as the base to dry your keys. (Actually, you don't have to use anything if you don't what to, its just a suggestion) When you collect your keys to be placed back to the board, make sure there are no drops of water stuck to the keys. Use cottonbuds to dry them up.

Step 8

Snap the keys back to the keyboard and violah! There you have it, a clean keyboard. If you can't remember where the keys goes, make sure you have a snap shot of your keyboard or another keyboard to make sure you have the keys back at the right place. Open your text editor and test all the keys out. Swap whatever keys that you have placed wrongly.

Happy cleaning! LOL!

Hm..having problems with my PHP codes again. Arghh. I'm stuck at every single module. Damn lazy to code already. I think I better start learning .Net and its intergration with Crystal Report for DBMS soon too. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up VB.NET fast. I'm a little worried about the report part. I think the intergration will be different.

Felt very lazy today. So...slack off again. I started to watch Gilgamesh today (I'm at epi 11 now). I think the anime is not bad. The drawings and graphics is like Last Exile. I think its from the same animator. The Gilgamesh's story line is nice too (The syk is covered by a layer of crystal mirror that kills off all wireless communication, all coms cant be used because of some ion stuff that is trapped in the atmosphere..something like that, hard to explain here...). Fighting scenes also syok. There's a few parts very gaya, a few scenes like the Matrix (not those bullet time thingy). The charactors can teleport and have telekinetic powers too, syok. Then in epi 9, there's this scene with a computer in it. Not the comps we have now. (Comps we have now wont work due to those ions what ever thingy that surrounds the earth) The comp was those like the very first computers that human invented. You know, the vacume light bulbs and stuff, takes up the a whole classroom and stuff. Really chun la. Too bad its a very short scene =(

Anyways, anyone going for the Saturday Night Fever Musical? Sean was telling about it and then I saw the preview on Astro. I really really (X100) want to go. Cheapest tix price is RM127 tho. Students under 18 can get student price for RM77. I wish I was younger!!! ...I want this too...MUAHAHAHA.

Ok, enuff of all the I want I want (eh but seriously la, I'm definetly going for the Sat Night Fever show already. Someone teman me laa...pls) Here's a few other geek jokes.

"Micro tender rat." -- "Microsoft Mouse," as translated into Italian on the instruction sheet for a Taiwanese Microsoft-compatible mouse.

"Strong disk plug." -- "Hard drive," as translated into Italian on the instruction sheet for a Taiwanese hard drive.

"Finger to spiritual emptiness underlying everything." -- How a C manual referred to a "pointer to void."

"Please be sure to keep the vents on top open. Do not bring spillables near these, like chicken soup and dust." -- Instructions, translated from Mandarin, for a computer monitor.

I went to pasar malam with Zhong and Gordon just now. I'm LOL at the conversations going on. Christina? Cheese rings? HAHAHA. Damn weird combo la wei Gordon. Anyways Zhong's band (Zhong: I tot of the name already "will play for food" Check this out too.) might be playing for SMDJ's Interact I.U on the 1st of May. I might be playing the bass. (no april fool joke here) Can anyone imagine me on bass? LOL. But now all talk only. See how it goes. Should be interesting tho...I have no idea how to handle a guitar. ZHong also passed me a 5cl mini bottle of black lable. MUAHAHAHA. Thanks dude.

Got this from Alvin's blog. Hahaha this link should be added my geek entry below. Wanna blog more but have to go do stuff now

...anyone got fooled today?

Ya know, I've been updating rather regularly . There's nothing (I want) to do except updating this blog. Anyways, remember a few weeks back I said I wanted my Geek page up again. I got real lazy doing all the tedious designing and chucking of content. So...me is gonna make this entry my geek entry. *puts dancing aside*

I haven't been checking my news letters lately, so there's this section of unread news letters collecting viruses in my inbox. I went through those emails and found a few interesting sites.

Dave, here's one I think you might find useful. "MovieSnapshot allows you to easily grab a frame from a video file and save it as JPEG image. Just drag and drop any movie file onto the MovieSnapshot interface, select the frame to grab and click the save button. The program supports all installed DirectShow video and audio codecs."

This, I like. I've downloaded some really simple and clean wallpaper from there. "This site will allow you to snag the slickest Mac OS X, XP and Icontainer icons and desktop images while feeding your cravings for links and tutorials" Check out the icons below. Cool huh. Not your style of icons? Head over to the link. There's more (cuter? ones) there.

Left: Storm Riders. (no not RO la :p) Right: Scary Girl style.

Here is the Rasterbator. *ditsh ditsh wacks your head* Don't think senget. "The rasterbator is a web service which creates huge rasterized pictures out of relatively small image files. The pictures can be assembled into extremely cool looking posters" If I have my own place, I would make one of these and hang it up on my wall. Looks so damn cool.

This 2 I got from Friendster. I guess most of you already saw this. But its here anyway. Get your Cyborg Name. Mine is Transforming Electronic Construct Keen on Infiltration and Efficient Exploration. Then go spank..erm I mean beat the penguin.

..I think that is it for this geek entry. Have fun with the links. Cherios~
